About

Engineering experience informing research on trustworthy autonomous systems

I am a software engineering and AI assurance researcher with a background spanning telecommunications systems, university teaching and reproducible AI/ML evaluation. My current work focuses on trustworthy agentic and multi-agent AI, runtime assurance, policy-gated authority, failure containment and auditable operational decisions.

Current research direction

My current research direction examines the transition from AI-generated inference or recommendation to operational authority. The central concern is not simply whether an AI system can generate a useful output, but what evidence, permissions, verification and oversight should be required before that output can influence consequential software or network actions.

This direction connects recent work in DevSecOps governance, multi-stage agentic workflow resilience and 5G/6G network assurance with a broader software-engineering concern: making increasingly autonomous systems observable, bounded, testable and auditable.

Software engineering & research methods

My academic background is in software engineering. Recent technical work uses Python, pytest, Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, Streamlit, structured datasets and reproducible evaluation workflows. Research-method experience includes grouped validation, leakage control, class-level failure analysis, confidence and uncertainty analysis, scenario-based evaluation and systematic evidence review.

Telecommunications background

Before the current research focus, I worked in telecommunications engineering and network operations, including RAN/BSS integration, troubleshooting, rollout coordination, KPI monitoring and live-network changes. Roles included work with Alcatel-Lucent, SOMTEL International and Huawei. This background now informs research questions around AI-assisted network management and increasingly autonomous 5G/6G systems.

University teaching

I have taught Computer Science and Software Engineering courses including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Communications and Networks, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Computer Graphics and introductory Computer Science.
